Mykhailo Popeliuk

was born on 10 September 1956 in the village of Velyka Kamianka, Kolomyia district. He received his musical education at the Kolomyia Pedagogical College, where he graduated in 1976, and at the Vasyl Stefanyk Ivano-Frankivsk State Pedagogical Institute, where he graduated in 1984 with a degree in music.

He worked as an artistic director of the Higher Vocational School №17, a vocal teacher at the Kolomyia Pedagogical College.

Since 2000, he has been an associate professor at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.

Along with teaching, she is actively engaged in pop and performing arts.

In 2000, for his significant contribution to the development of Ukrainian song art, he was awarded the honorary title ‘Honoured Artist of Ukraine’ (Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 1306 of 01.11.2000).

In October 2006, he was awarded the academic title of associate professor.

Since October 2022, he has been an Associate Professor of the Department of Methods of Music Education and Conducting.

Along with his teaching work, he has participated in festivals and competitions and is engaged in concert activities.

He carries out organisational and educational activities: member of the jury of the 2-4 Zorepad Children’s Variety Art Festivals in 2009-2013, member of the jury of the 13th Kolomyika International Folklore and Ethnographic Festival, member of the organising committee of the 1-4 Iryna Malaniuk All-Ukrainian Competitions for Young Vocalists.

Mykhailo Popeliuk is a member of the Association of Variety Artists of Ukraine.
