Yaroslava BARDASHEVSKA – is a PhD in Art History, Associate Professor of the Department of Methods of Music Education and Conducting at the Educational and Research Institute of Arts of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.

In 2000, she graduated from Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University with a degree in Musical Art and received a qualification as a conductor and music teacher.

Her professional growth began in 2001 at the Burshtyn Educational Complex, where she worked as a music director and choreographer. The effectiveness of her pedagogical work was demonstrated by the success of children in various types of musical and creative activities. Under the skillful guidance of Y. Bardashevska, the pupils presented their artistic achievements at citywide events and festivals.

From 2004 to 2009, she held the position of Deputy Director for Educational Work at Burshtyn Gymnasium. She focused her activities on the formation and development of a highly intellectual personality with a clear civic position. Her achievements include the victories of gymnasium students in district and regional competitions, amateur shows and scientific projects.

She has been working at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University since 2011, first as a senior laboratory assistant at the Department of Theater and Choreographic Arts, and since 2015 at the Department of Choral Conducting, constantly combining her teaching activities. In 2016, she was hired as a lecturer at the Department of Music Education and Conducting Methods.

In 2017, she defended her PhD thesis “Figurative and stylistic principles of Viktor Stepurko’s choral creativity (based on the material of a cappella choirs) in the specialty 17.00.01 – Musical Art at the Specialized Academic Council of the A. V. Nezhdanova Odesa National Music Academy.

By the decision of the Certification Board of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in 2020, she was awarded the academic title of associate professor.

She developed and teaches the following disciplines within the educational program 014 Secondary Education (Musical Art): “Methods of Work in Preschool Institutions”, “Choral Conducting”, “Voice Training”. In addition to lectures and practical courses, she supervises bachelor’s and master’s theses, course projects, and internships.

She is a member of the Academic Council of the Educational and Research Institute of Arts of the V. Stefanyk Precarpathian National University. She has been a member of the organizing committee of the All-Ukrainian Student Choral Conductor Competition and All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conferences organized by the Department of Music Education and Conducting Methods since 2015.

In 2019, she completed a foreign internship at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin, which became the basis for close cooperation and exchange of pedagogical experience with Polish colleagues.

He is the author of 26 scientific and educational publications, including 3 publications in periodicals included in the Scopus and Web of Science, in which he covers the problems of contemporary Ukrainian music art and music pedagogy.
